This article immediately attracked my attention, because my sister is 14. And it makes you think about the age all these kids start drinking very hard liquor and how they act. Especially if I look at 14 year olds nowadays; the things they do at 14 are things I did at 17. They set their boundaries in different ways, do not think about the consequences and act like they are much older than they are.
It is not like I myself never drunk at that age but at least I was already careful and was able to set my own boundaries and thought about the consequences of my actions and my friends as well. Nowadays it is even a hype to drink so much that you fall in to a "coma". It is only hard reality for these teenagers when someone actually falls in to one for real. That is why I think it is very well that they posted this news item.
Furthermore I think this article attracks enough attention with the picture they used and in the way they have written the story. I only think that it is written to light minded. I think it is important that teenagers around that age take these alarming news items seriously so that they do not end up in that kind of position themselves.
Marissa,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenReading your story reminds me of something I saw a couple of years ago. After we went out we were waiting for the bus and next o us was hanging a group of lets say 5 girls of the age of 15 year. One girl was lying on the ground and she threw up over her own body. It was disgusting! She was really far gone and the bus driver had to call an ambulance to pick her up. Later I heard she had a alcohol poisoning. It is crazy how some people don’t know their own boundaries!
Hi~! Marissa.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI also think this article is so interesting because I also have a younger sister who is 17 year old. Nowadyas, there are many problems with them. They tend to make many incidents by doing something which is not allowed to them as a teenager. But we have to solve the problem cleverly with them. The more we scold them, the more they protest to us and do wrong behavior. So I think that We have to try to talking with them in usual day and pay attention to them and help them actively.
Hi Maris,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is really a shocking article. But nowadays you see this happening alot.
I understand that you are concerning about your sister. I also know some friends (who are only on a age of 14-15) who are doing things which makes me really shock. Just having the idea it is already scaring. For example I have some friends, age 14, she has a quite religious family, but she is doing things, like smoking weed, drinking etc. etc. which actually are activities that she do not have to deal about.
xx
Hey Marissa,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood topic as it is quite an issue at the moment. I can completely understand that it is especially attention-drawing when you have got a little sister who is the same age... Quite surreal actually that kids already do such things at that age, probably they don't know their boundaries yet...

Hi Marissa,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat an interesting article! Good choice. It is noticeable that children are drinking at a very early age.
I think your English writing skills are very good, and I liked the way you build your sentencens.
